How to: Find a computer on a network.
Solution:
Select the 'Computers...' option from the 'Find' menu, or open 'Network Neighborhood'.
Do one of the following:
1) Double-click 'Network Neighborhood' on the Windows desktop. (The computers in your workgroup are listed in the 'Network Neighborhood' window.)

2) If the computer is not in your workgroup:
a) Double-click 'Entire Network'. (The domains and workgroups on your network are listed.)
b) To display computers that are members of the workgroup or domain, double-click the icon of the domain or workgroup.
NOTE: If the computer you are trying to find is located on a different subnet on your network, or on the other side of a router, the computer will not appear in the 'Entire Network'.
3) Use the 'Find' feature (recommended if the exact name of the computer is known):
a) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
b) Select Find' and select 'Computer...'. (The 'Find: Computer' dialog box appears.)
c) Do one of the following:
1] Select the computer from the 'Named' drop-down list box of network computer.
2] Type the EXACT NAME of the computer being searched for in the 'Named' box.
d) Click 'Find Now'.
